Signage has a varied role in the world, not only for signing areas or buildings to help with direction and recognition, but it has many applications within retail, corporations and outdoor advertising.
Types of signage include:
- illuminated displays, including items such as backlit displays, neon lighting and LEDs, have varied uses from outdoor advertising, indoor decor to information boards in public areas
- channel lettering is the shaping of 3D letters (either in plastic or metal), is present for shop and building fascias
- dimensional signage is the creation of an image or visual into a 3D format such as logos
- digital signage, covering digital displays and billboards, has seen substantial growth over the recent years and is used for both indoor and outdoor purposes for advertising and informative applications.
